Our Story
Thanks for your interest in The Barnwood Center. I’m Brian Horner, and with my wife Gina, we started WNC Reclaimed Wood in 2014 and later renamed it the Barnwood Center and located the business in Wayah valley.
We are committed to preserving parts of the past and including them in discerning mountain homes in the Highlands, Cashiers, and North Georgia mountains.
I’ve been a building contractor for many years, and have had the pleasure of building some incredible dream homes. What sets these homes apart are the architectural details and design elements. Gina and I started The Barnwood Center to allow these rustic elements to be available not only to architects and builders but also to the homeowner for special projects. We Are all About Reclaimed Wood
Since 2014, we have been sourcing and salvaging aged wood from barns and buildings before they are demolished. Our home is built on riverfront property completely from vintage beams and timbers. We love inviting homeowners, builders and architects to discuss plans surrounding by barnwood walls, distressed tables and hardwood floors.
And, don’t be surprised if you are met with a cup of coffee and a baked good. We enjoy giving our clients special treatment and want them to feel at home.
